When I got in the car the other day, I took a look at the gauges, lights, and all the other information my car kindly shares with me. I noted the gas level, where the temperature was, etc.
Then, I really looked at what all these gauges and indicators were telling me.
I had plenty of fuel.
The temperature level was right where it was supposed to be.
My lights were on.
There were no warning lights or indications of any kind.
For a moment, I just sat there in gratitude. For having enough fuel in the car. For having a car in good condition that gets me where I want to go. For lights to illuminate my way – figuratively and literally. For being the driver in a vehicle and circumstance where I was safe and being taken care of.
What are your indicators telling you? Not your car’s indicators, but YOUR indicators?
- Do you have plenty of nourishing fuel?
- Is your way ahead illuminated and clear?
- Are there any warning lights you need to attend to?
- Are you appreciating what you have?
